Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Wauchula, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a corrections location by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence to support a secure environment. This post is both an armed and driving role. You will regularly interact with staff and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to provide customer service to clients within a corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed patrol posts.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support correctional operations.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with staff and/or law enforcement as directed.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents within the corrections location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
