Job Description
- Lead all day-to-day operations of the Kitchen and Taproom, including FOH and BOH.
- Own P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, managing labour, food and beverage costs to hit targets.
- Oversee daily operations ensure smooth service execution across BOH and FOH and private events.
- Maintain SOPs for service, cleanliness, safety, guest experience and event experiences.
- Collaborate actively with the Steam Whistle events team.
- Oversee vendor relationships, ordering, inventory control, invoice approvals, and waste reduction measures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards for service, food, and beverage.
- Monitor and audit all touchpoints, identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality execution of the menu and service standards .
- Develop and execute training programs for FOH and BOH teams, ongoing and new hire programs.
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and professional workplace culture.
- Manage guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and p rovide mentorship, training, and performance coaching to all team members, providing clear expectation and guidelines.
- Collaborate with HR to recruit, onboard, train and retain top talent.
- Lead weekly scheduling for both FOH and BOH to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Host regular team meetings and tastings to ensure alignment and engagement.
- Work closely with the leadership team on annual planning, strategic initiatives, and key business goals.
- Partner with events and marketing teams to execute successful private events, early closures, and venue buy-outs.
- Work with the Steam Whistle marketing department to develop and execute programming and brand initiatives that drive traffic and positive guest experiences.
- Champion sustainability and innovation within the kitchen and taproom.
This is a full time position, with shifts covering weekends, evenings and some holidays. Physically active role requiring time on the floor.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 plus bonus. The salary will reflect your experience, skills and perspective you bring to the role. Qualifications & Experience - 5+ years of senior management experience in high-volume hospitality
- Strong food, beverage, and bar operations knowledge
- Proven experience managing budgets and P&Ls
- Experience in a brand-driven hospitality environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
