Job Title: Class A CDL Local Truck Driver

Location: Local Truck Route within Los Angeles and Orange County.

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dependable Class A CDL Local Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of trucks, including roll-out trucks, end dump trucks, and 38-foot flatbeds, to deliver materials and equipment within the local area. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Operation: Operate roll-out trucks, end dump trucks, and 38-foot flatbeds in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
• Local Deliveries: Make timely deliveries of materials, equipment, or goods to various destinations within the local area. Follow designated routes and schedules.
• Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including traffic laws and company policies. Ensure all safety equipment is used and maintained properly.
• Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading materials or goods, including operating equipment as needed. Secure loads on flatbeds and dump trucks to ensure safe transport.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, delivery receipts, and fuel usage. Complete necessary paperwork and reports.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients, handling any delivery-related issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Communication: Stay in contact with dispatchers and supervisors to receive instructions, report delays, and address any concerns.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL: Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience: 2-3 years of driving experience. Previous experience operating roll-out trucks, end dump trucks, and flatbeds is highly preferred. Experience with various truck types and cargo handling is a plus.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, and securing cargo.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow safety protocols, manage paperwork accurately, and ensure precise deliveries.
• Dependability: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality service.
