Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT)

Permanent Full Time / Competitive Pay / Flexible Schedule / Competitive Benefits

MLR is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our client's team in Oregon.

MLS / MT Key Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate test results before release, identifying and addressing suspect results based on criteria, alerts, or inconsistencies.
Follow QC policies, document activities, and notify coordinators of any issues with test systems or results, adhering to all laboratory standards.
Start duties promptly, organizing and prioritizing workflow, even during high-demand situations, and adjusting for STAT requests.
Maintain inventory, learn new procedures quickly, and ensure a clean, safe work environment, handling all tasks with care.
Ensure that all actions support patient safety goals, contributing to a culture of safety and accuracy.
Exhibit professionalism and support colleagues, contributing to problem-solving and maintaining positive working relationships.

MLS / MT Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field required.
ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) required.
Code Gray certification preferred.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
