We specialize in structural steel, stairs and railings, and custom job shop projects throughout the Greater Boston area and New England. Known for our craftsmanship, speed, and reliability, were looking to grow our shop team with the addition of an experienced Steel Fabricator.Position Summary:Were seeking a skilled and reliable Steel Fabricator to join our fabrication shop. Youll work on a wide range of structural and miscellaneous metal components, including beams, columns, stairs, railings, and custom steel assemblies.This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, understands how to read shop drawings, and can fabricate accurately and efficiently. Youll work closely with our shop foreman, project managers, and other fabricators to ensure each job is delivered with precision.Key Responsibilities:Fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel components according to shop drawings and specificationsOperate saws, shears, drills, ironworkers, grinders, and welding equipmentPerform MIG and stick welding (and TIG, if applicable)Lay out, measure, cut, and fit materials with accuracyEnsure work meets quality standards and dimensional tolerancesAssist with loading and unloading steel using forklifts and overhead cranesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentCommunicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflowQualifications:3+ years of experience fabricating structural and/or miscellaneous steelAbility to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and welding symbolsStrong MIG and stick welding skills (TIG is a plus)Experience using fabrication tools, layout techniques, and measuring instrumentsFamiliarity with AISC standards and common fabrication practicesForklift certifiedStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workTeam-oriented, punctual, and dependableAbility to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periodsPreferred (Not Required):AWS welding certificationsOSHA 10 or 30 certificationForklift or overhead crane experienceExperience with stairs, railings, and custom ornamental workValid drivers licenseCompensation & Benefits:Hourly pay: $25$45/hour, based on experienceOvertime available401(k) with company matchHealth, dental, and disability insurancePaid time offEmployee assistance programLong-term opportunity in a growing companyHow to Apply:If youre an experienced fabricator who takes pride in precision work and wants to be part of a high-performing shop, wed love to hear from you.
