Job Description
As the Website Content Lead, you'll play a key role in developing, writing, and refining website content that engages users, encouraging them to return frequently for valuable resources and insights. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to promote programs, services, and offerings that support user needs while also clarifying policies, procedures, and processes. This role is instrumental in helping departments reduce customer service inquiries by providing clear and accessible content that answers common questions.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Development: Write, edit, and enhance web content designed to captivate and motivate users. Your content may cover a range of needs, from promoting new initiatives to providing detailed information on policies and procedures.
Content Migration: Assist in migrating large volumes of information to new website architectures or publishing platforms, ensuring a smooth transition of content and user accessibility.
Support & Instructional Content: Develop helpful resources, such as FAQs, blog posts, self-service guides, and instructional prompts, aimed at guiding users toward self-service options.
Feedback & Analytics: Gather and analyze user feedback and website usage data to inform content strategy. Review website statistics and search logs to continuously enhance content relevance and accessibility.
Content Optimization: Ensure that all web content is written to be searchable, scannable, and optimized for clarity. In some cases, you'll apply style guidelines and restructure content for improved effectiveness.
Keyword Tagging: Use the provided taxonomy to tag and keyword content, making it easier for users to locate what they need.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in creating effective web content that is both user-friendly and aligned with SEO best practices.
Ability to write clear, engaging, and easily navigable content, with a focus on audience engagement and information accessibility.
Role Details
Employment Type: Remote, 100% Work-from-Home (out-of-state)
Duration: 3-month contract, with potential for review upon completion.
Pay Range: Approximately $43.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)
Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent; no specific certifications or licenses required.
