Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is looking for a Retail Pharmacist to cover open shifts from June 23, 2025 to September 18, 2025. Hour are 9 am to 6pm, or 10 am to 7 pm: no weekends or holiday coverage required. We have 2 Retail Pharmacy locations : Salida and Westcliffe, CO. On site training will start the week of June 16, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver complete and accurate pharmaceutical care to outpatient pharmacy patients, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Adhere to all Colorado State Board of Pharmacy regulations and federal laws governing pharmacy practice.
Oversee and participate in the safe and efficient preparation, storage, and dispensing of prescription medications.
Provide clinical pharmaceutical services, including patient counseling, medication therapy management (MTM), and disease-state management.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to make evidence-based recommendations regarding drug selection, dosing, and monitoring.
Review and evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic efficacy.
Engage in drug utilization review (DUR) and provide drug information and education to medical staff, nurses, and patients.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a current Colorado Pharmacist License (RPh)
One year experience in the outpatient/retail pharmacy setting.
