Job Description

We are seeking experienced nurses to provide care in the Cardiac Thoracic ICU. The ideal candidate will have experience recovering open heart surgery patients and be familiar with various cardiac procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage vital signs for open-heart surgery patients.


• Utilize equipment such as IV pumps, chest tubes, remote telemetry, and oxygen delivery devices.


• Support patients with conditions such as MIs and CHF.


• Collaborate with students and new hires to create a supportive learning environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience in a cardiac setting.


• Prior travel nursing experience is required.


• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required and must be current.


• Experience in handling cases involving VATS, ECMO, Impella, LVAD, IABP, and CRRT.


• COVID and FLU vaccination or declination is required.
