Job Description:

Traffic Coordinator

Sunday through Thursday 5:00pm - 1:30am

$20.00 - 22.00

As a Traffic Coordinator you will provide direct support to our drivers, retailers, vendors and other key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of product to Ace Hardware Retailers. This includes daily driver dispatch and coordinating backhauls, auditing daily logs in accordance with applicable rules and regulations, monitoring orders and schedules, and conferring multiple stakeholders to prevent and resolve issues.

Essential Functions:

• Manage Driver Equipment: Permits & Proper paperwork for tractors & trailers. 
• Audit daily logs and on time deliveries.
• Positive daily communications with customers.
• Maintain positive driver and staff employee relations.
• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation and operations goals.
• Daily Driver Dispatch-Direct workers in transportation or related services, such as loading or unloading of materials.
• Transportation Management System-Review orders, production schedules and shipping or receiving notices to determine work sequences and material shipping dates, types, volumes, or destinations.
• Confer with customers, supervisors, managers, or other personnel to exchange information to resolve problems.
• Assist with Store Notifications- delays due to weather
• Qualcomm management (driver logs, messages, violations, ELD mandates)
• Driver On-time Delivery Reporting
• Driver Scanners – Tracking and Troubleshooting
• Sales events – forecasting and planning bulletin sales with Outbound volume
• Managing STOS (Stock transfers to other centers)
• LTL Carrier relations
• Backhaul: Coordinating non-delivery pickups and deliveries. 
• Other duties as assigned.
  
   

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of Hours of Services rules.
• Familiar with Hazard Material information and regulations.
• Must possess positive employee relation skills and excellent communication skills.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
