Thiessen Design + Construction is looking for a Tile Installer to bring their craftsmanship and attention to detail to our high-end residential projects. As a Tile Installer, you will be responsible for installing a variety of tile materials with precision, ensuring that each space reflects the aesthetic vision and meets the highest quality standards. From custom bathrooms and kitchens to luxury floors and backsplashes, your work will play a key role in transforming spaces into beautifully designed and functional areas.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Install a variety of tile types, including ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and mosaic tiles, in both residential and commercial settings.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper underlayment for tile installation.
- Measure and cut tiles to fit specific spaces, ensuring precise alignment and design integrity.
- Apply adhesives and grout with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring even spacing, smooth finishes, and waterproofing where necessary.
- Follow design plans, blueprints, and layouts provided by the design team to bring the vision to life.
- Collaborate with other trades and project managers to ensure seamless integration with overall construction and design plans.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and quality control.
- Address any necessary repairs, modifications, or adjustments to achieve the desired final look.
The ideal candidate should possess: - 3+ years of experience as a Tile Installer, with a portfolio of high-end residential or commercial tile work.
- Strong knowledge of various tile materials, adhesives, grouts, and waterproofing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans accurately.
- Proficiency in using tile-cutting tools, wet saws, and other necessary equipment.
- Keen eye for detail and precision in measurements, cuts, and alignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to unique design challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, ensuring collaboration with other trades and project managers.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
