Job Description

The Early Childhood Teacher or Aide maintains a safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment, and provides constant supervision of children during all indoor and outdoor activities. The Early Childhood Teacher or Aide responds to the needs of individual children, works cooperatively with all other staff members, and child families, and familiarizes themselves with basic concepts of child development and developmentally appropriate practices as established by the National Association for the Education of young children and/or follow the State of Montana License/Caregiver requirements. The center serves 1-year olds up to preschool age.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of licensed childcare experience and Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, or ability to receive, and or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered
• Infant/child and adult CPR and First Aide, or ability to obtain

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, typically 8:00am to 5:00pm
• 40 hours per week
• This will be a temporary two-month position but could move into a permanent role depending on need.
• Per Diem work available as well

Compensation:

• $15.41 - $20.08 per hour DOE
