Job Description

An international renewable energy developer, owner, operator is seeking a technical project manager for their large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects.

With worldwide offices and projects, several GW of projects in development, this role gives the opportunity for career progression, and to make a positive impact, continuing the progress of the US towards NetZero.

The selected professional will manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering tasks for 100+MW renewable energy projects from initiation, early-stage development to post-construction.

This role requires someone able to commute to the office in Houston.

The Role

• Collaborate with teams for project support in development, design, and cost estimation.
• Gather and analyze technical data and validate Solar PV layouts and electrical diagrams.
• Perform energy modeling and support procurement with technical documents for RFPs.
• Coordinate detailed engineering for construction projects and interact with EPC companies.
• Assist with technical aspects of proposals, contracts, and customer presentations, including site visits and compliance.

The role has no travel requirement for specific projects, it is hybrid from Houston, TX. It involves supervising projects under development and under construction from early stage development and feasibility through inception to post-construction.

Skillset

• BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Solar PV or Energy Storage commercial development including project development, design and engineering, and construction of energy generation projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and PV SYST.
• Understanding of NEC and codes pertaining to commercial Solar PV.
• Solid understanding of renewable energy markets and project lifecycle
