About the Role

Innovative Tax Advisors is looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join their collaborative team. This role is especially active from January 15 to April 16 , with full-time hours during tax season and flexible part-time hours the rest of the year. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses

• Analyze and review client tax documents for accuracy and completeness

• Communicate directly with clients as needed to clarify or request documentation

• Use CCH Axcess and Canopy Tax to manage workflows, prep returns, and complete filings

• Maintain accurate documentation and track client project time using their digital CRM

• Work closely with a small team to ensure exceptional client service and timely submissions

Tax Season Schedule

(Full-time availability preferred during this window)
January 15 – March 1: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
March 1 – April 15: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM + Saturdays 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Off-season hours: flexible and can vary for the right person!

What You'll Need

• 2+ years of tax prep experience (individual and small business)

• Strong knowledge of tax law and filing requirements

• CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred (not required)

• Confidence working independently and in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency with CCH Axcess, Canopy, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, SurePrep, Outlook, and Teams is a plus
