We are seeking a passionate, skilled, experienced RN to join the Bigelow 7 team! Bigelow 7 is an 18-bed inpatient medical unit with telemetry monitoring that strives to achieve the highest standards of excellence in patient care and outcomes. No new graduates for this position

- Patient population ranges from young adults (age 18) to geriatric, the majority of patients are admitted with respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, end stage renal disease, sickle cell disease, end stage liver disease, cancer, substance use, and other medical conditions ranging from acute episodes to chronic conditions
- Complex diagnoses such as Steven Johnson Syndrome, Calciphylaxis, acute on chronic congestive heart failure, patients requiring high flow oxygen, BiPap (bilevel positive airway pressure), acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, sepsis, gastrointestinal bleed, pulmonary embolism, chest tube monitoring, diabetic complications, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous bladder irrigation.
- Provide monitored services such as antibiotic therapy, blood transfusions, insulin drips, TPN (total parental nutrition), diuretic drips, heparin drips, intravenous IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin), rituximab, patient-controlled analgesia drips, nerve blocks, and further care and monitoring for stable patients transferred from the Intensive Care Unit

- Nurses on this unit work in collaboration with patients, families and across disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Candidates should also possess strong assessment skills and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment, managing hi-acuity situations.

- 36 hours a week, Day/Night rotation that includes weekends and holidays
