Salary:
We are looking to hire experienced Residential Sponsor to work with Individual's experiencing Intellectual Disabilities.
Job Duties:
The sponsor will be assigned to a particular individual(s), performing (but not limited to) the
following tasks:
1. Monitors individuals comfort and safety, while ensuring that the medical, nutritional
and personal care needs are being met.
2. Supports individual to identify and achieve personal outcomes important and relevant to
them.
3. Communicates individuals progress to team members, supervisors, parents and/or
guardians as appropriate on a regular basis
4. Maintains effective verbal and written communications with staff, individuals families,
and other outside service providers
5. Interacts with individuals in an emotionally supportive and therapeutic manner
6. Practices effective techniques for reinforcing appropriate individual behavior
7. Maintains medical, social and programmatic files by writing progress notes and
documenting other required information
8. Provides transportation
9. Assists individual to integrate into the community by accompanying them to social and
spiritual activities of their choice
10. Assists (alongside individual) in menu plans and food purchase. Prepares and serves
well-balanced wholesome meals and snacks
11. Assists individual with general housekeeping and laundry duties
12. Attends in-service trainings as advised by the QDDP or Program Director
13. Promotes a positive self-image of each individual14. Performs all other duties as assigned by the QDDP.
Job Requirements/Qualifications and certifications
25 years or older
High School Diploma
Drivers License and Reliable Transportation
Proof of Hepatitis B Vaccine
PPD/Chest x-ray and Physicals
TME (If Applicable)
American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certification
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
