Skilled Concrete Finisher (GPC)

Great Place Construction (GPC) is looking for a skilled concrete finisher. This full-time, year-round position is available in Sioux Falls, SD. Wages start between $27 and $32 DOE. The position includes a Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends, paid travel time in company vehicles, and work generally within 1 to 2 hours of Sioux Falls. You will also receive a work boot allowance and Spanish/English bilingual premium pay.

We are looking to hire team members that may have experience with any of this type of work. You don't have to have it all we will train for you.

Duties include:

• Prepare, place, and finish concrete
• Construct, place, and strip formwork
• Install reinforcement steel in accordance with project specific documents
• Place/strike concrete with mechanical equipment
• Finish, edge, and cut placed concrete
• Clean up and properly maintain tools associated with this work
• Work with field supervision to coordinate entire concrete installation process
• Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment

Qualifications:

• Previous concrete work/experience including setting of wall and flatwork forms, operation of power screed and power trowels
• Ability to read reinforcing steel drawings and basic structural foundation plans is desired
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted on a frequent basis. May have to push/pull up to 100lbs on an infrequent basis
• Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
• Valid DL and good driving record
• Knowledge of various tools associated with duties noted above
