Job Description

An Insight Global client is seeking to hire a Sr. Payroll Specialist for a Renewable Energy client, hybrid in Scottsdale, AZ (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are remote). The ideal candidate will be a confident payroll professional with demonstrated experience owning the payroll process for a mid-sized, multi-state organization. This is a 3 month contract-to-hire (W2 employment, medical, dental, and vision offered starting day one.

Day to Day:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state employee population.
• Audit and reconcile payroll data; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform manual wage, tax, and net pay calculations to validate payroll accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Utilize SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and ADP for payroll processing, reporting, and analysis.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to resolve payroll-related issues.
• Support testing, data validation, and process documentation during payroll system implementation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including ownership of the payroll cycle in a mid-sized company.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll and tax regulations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices, procedures, and regulations.
• Advanced analytical skills and proven ability to audit raw payroll data.

Compensation:

$40/hr to $48/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
