Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Full-Time opportunity in Fargo, ND. This role is onsite (5 days a week).

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain highly available network infrastructure in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
Design and optimize Layer 2/3 topologies using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
Support and improve data center operations, contributing to monitoring, observability, and incident resolution.
Collaborate with the engineering team to recommend and implement network upgrades to improve scalability and performance.
Lead network automation efforts using tools like Python and Ansible, integrated with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise or data center networks (Dell equipment / Seth storage/Linux environment).
Strong knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, GRE, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.
Strong knowledge of Juniper networks (QFX series, Junos OS).
Strong knowledge of Netgate networks (pfSense+, tnsr).
Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python, etc) and integration into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, etc).
Deadline and detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
