Job Description

The Senior Analyst, FP&A will play an important strategic financial role at Maxima Apparel. The role will perform various functions, including carrying out core financial planning and analysis, playing an important role in managing financial performance, and implementing finance strategies of an organization to achieve committed business performance. The Senior Analyst, FP&A will report to the Sr VP of Finance. The ideal person will be one who can roll their sleeves up, be willing to foster a culture of growth and strategy, both on a macro and micro level. Going beyond the mastery of numbers, you will embrace a holistic strategic vision for Maxima Apparel Corp. Our team primarily includes personnel from the Westbury office, in addition to offshore and international teams. As such, working seamlessly with these teams is integral to achieving our goals and delivering exceptional results for our stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Developing forward-looking forecasts and budgets Prepare and present accurate monthly summary of expenses such as direct costs (COGS including fulfillment) with concise action-oriented commentary and analysis Responsible for various aspects of the month-end close process, including proposing corrections for accounting during month end close, accrual entries, etc. Prepare monthly reports on financials to be distributed to the business units Drive decision making across the business to meet organizational objectives by providing insightful financial analysis, interpretations, predictions, support, tools and recommendations; and clearly communicate results and recommendations to ensure clarity and optimal decision making Undertake a monthly proactive review of costs; flag early any changes to be inputted into the forecast based on actual results Provide support/assistance in performing monthly analysis of revenue vs forecast, with details of under- or over-performance Establish and maintain effective relationships across the business to understand the business and the primary drivers, goals, and the needs of partners and internal customers Improve efficiency and control environment, including management of cost center structure and assignment by evaluating processes and providing recommendations Develop and perform reporting of operating metrics that ensures financial performance, e.g. profitability of different products in the assortments/channel. Qualifications ~ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field is required. ~3+ years’ experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting or data analytics ~ Advanced skills in Excel required ~ Industry Experience Preferred – Apparel, Fashion, Consumer Goods ~ Strong financial analysis experience, including ability to manage and interpret large data sets ~ High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize. ~ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
