McCrillis Gardens a 6-acre horticulture display garden located in Bethesda MD is seeking a part-time Seasonal Gardener Assistant to assist with gardening tasks from March through November . The ideal candidate is energetic and enjoys being outside interacting with people and has an outstanding work ethic with great attention to detail. Applicants should have a basic knowledge of plants and experience using a variety of equipment for tasks like planting pruning weeding and mulching. On the job training will also be provided as necessary.

Uses a variety of hand tools for landscape maintenance.

Assists in the supervision of volunteer groups.

This position is seasonal/part-time. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Must successfully pass a complete background investigation and drug screening prior to hire.
Working Conditions:
Primarily works outside. Exposed to weather dirt waste odors pesticides wildlife and potentially harmful insects (for example bees hornets wasps etc.). Must be able to bend stoop stretch climb and lift up to 50 pounds. Works independently and as part of a team.
