Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a dedicated social worker to support students in a K-12 school setting located in Detroit, MI. This full-time position involves working 40 hours per week to provide essential social work services that contribute to the academic and personal success of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student requirements
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student well-being
• Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions as needed
• Provide crisis intervention and referrals to community resources
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid social work license or certification (NSY preferred)
• Experience working with K-12 student populations in a school environment
• Bilingual skills highly desirable to effectively engage with diverse student communities
• Strong assessment and counseling abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality
