School Security Officer

Cardinal Point Security is seeking School Security Officers who will provide coverage for our client on weekends. This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced officer looking to pick up some part-time shifts each month.

Location: Bensalem, PA

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Saturdays 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Sundays 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Stands post at assigned location and secondary locations when required
• Continuously patrol school facilities (inside and outside) and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
• Access control
• Identifies and documents incidents/suspicious activities
• Maintains orderly flow of foot traffic in the hallways
• Reports on maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel
• Identify and report suspicious activity
• Completes electronic daily activity reports and incident reports as required

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of Security experience working in a school environment, or have experience as a Sworn Police Officer, military, or corrections officer
• High School Diploma or GED
• Complete all required training to become a Certified School Security Professional
• Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)
• Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)
• Reliable means of transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• PA Act 235 (non-lethal) Certified
• Valid Driver’s License
