Job Description

An opportunity exists for a dedicated occupational therapist to provide essential services to young children in an early childhood setting. This role focuses on serving 3- and 4-year-olds, addressing their unique developmental needs and helping them achieve essential milestones.

Qualifications:

• valid occupational therapy license in the state of Maine
• experience working with preschool-aged children
• strong understanding of early childhood development
• effective communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to develop individualized treatment plans
• familiarity with IEPs and related documentation processes

Location:

• Lewiston, ME

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate children's needs to develop tailored occupational therapy plans
• Implement therapeutic activities designed to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support for each child
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services provided and progress made
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
