Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager
Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid)

Job Summary: Wellfit is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of direct project management experience, preferably with a background in product management, SaaS, and startup environments. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of managing multiple teams and projects within a fast-paced, evolving landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Manage 2-3 core projects, including platform and payments.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and deliverables.

Scrum Master Duties:

• Facilitate daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure the team follows Agile methodologies and practices.
• Track and communicate team progress, velocity, and other performance metrics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Coordinate with various teams to manage dependencies and resolve conflicts.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management.

Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools and practices, with a focus on JIRA and Confluence.

Mentorship and Leadership:

• Mentor and guide junior team members, particularly in project management and scrum methodologies.
• Lead by example, maintaining a hands-on approach and willingness to dive into the details when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of direct project management experience in a technical environment.
• Strong background in product management, particularly in SaaS and startup environments.
• PMP certification strongly preferred; other relevant certifications (e.g., PSM, ACP) are a plus.
• Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA preferred).
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with occasional travel as required.
• Experience with smaller company sizes (500 or less) is preferred to ensure cultural fit and adaptability.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in financial technology (FinTech) is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with other project management tools like Asana or Smartsheet.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with limited resources.
