Position Overview
The Roofing Estimator is responsible for assessing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and managing bids for roofing projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and schedule, while meeting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing projects including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project conditions.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors for accurate project assessments.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals for roofing projects.
• Analyze costs and project data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project-related documents.
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a roofing estimator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems including commercial and residential applications.
• Familiarity with EPDM, metal roofing, and tile roofing.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to prepare detailed and accurate bid proposals.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
