About Cocina Azul Cocina Azul is a beloved, family-owned restaurant in Albuquerque, NM, known for our delicious New Mexican cuisine and warm, welcoming environment. We pride ourselves on our high standards of quality and service and are seeking a hands-on manager to oversee our daily operations.

The Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day front-of-house operations. This is a crucial, hands-on position responsible for ensuring smooth shifts, excellent customer service, and staff performance. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader who excels at tactical management and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations & Shift Management: Oversee all restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to company policies.
  • Customer Service Resolution: Serve as the main point of contact for guests, professionally and promptly resolving any customer inquiries or service issues.
  • Staff Training & Supervision: Manage, train, and motivate FOH (Front-of-House) staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers. Conduct regular coaching sessions to ensure service standards are consistently met.
  • Scheduling & Labor Management: Create weekly staff schedules and manage labor hours to optimize efficiency and control costs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the dining area and service stations.
  • Inventory Oversight: Assist with FOH inventory tracking and ordering supplies.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Shift Leader is required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong background in direct customer service resolution and hospitality management.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
