Job Description
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES Lab Duties - Performs technical laboratory duties in accordance with a predetermined course of action.
- Oversee lab supplies and maintain equipment.
- Coordinate rotation room.
- Routine maintenance and equipment.
Experiments - Prepares and conducts experiments and/or as requested by the PI or their designee.
- Obtaining peripheral blood, bone marrow and spleen samples from animal models and processing of same for flow cytometric and in vitro assays.
- Entry/capture into database.
- Isolate primary human NK cells, transduce them.
- Culture and maintain primary human cells and cell lines.
- Stain the cells for flow cytometry based experiments
Research - Reads literature and confers with superiors regarding new procedures.
- Collects and organizes data for project reports.
- Occasional data presentation during weekly meetings
Other Duties - General lab cleaning/organization.
- Ensuring maintenance of lab standards.
- Conduct checks/inspections.
- Assist postdocs and researchers with clinical trials, data, projects. etc.
