Salary: $50,000-$60,000
The Borough of Lansdale Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a motivated and creative Recreation Specialist to help us deliver dynamic programs, engaging events, and quality services to our community. This position supports year-round operations by planning and promoting programs, coordinating special events, building community partnerships, and assisting with facility and administrative functions.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, fresh ideas, and a passion for community engagement. Responsibilities include everything from developing new recreation programs and managing program registration, to supporting seasonal staff, coordinating with vendors and sponsors, and assisting with marketing and social media efforts. This role also requires flexibility to support evening, weekend, and holiday events.

Experience and Education
Preferred qualifications for the position are completion of a Bachelors degree in recreation, leisure services or the equivalent from an accredited educational institution and a minimum of two (2) years (cumulative experience) planning and conducting community recreation programs and/or assisting in projects.
Minimum requirements:
Associate degree in recreation, leisure services or equivalent from an accredited educational institution and a minimum of four (4) years experience planning and conducting recreation programs and/or assisting in recreational projects; or, five (5) or more years experience in managing events or recreational programming.
Municipal experience preferred
Must possess and maintain a valid PA drivers license and a good driving record.
