Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

Job Summary: The Quality Supervisor collaborates with teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The Quality Supervisor ensures that products and practices meet established quality standards by overseeing quality functions and implementing quality control measures.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and manage the quality control team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation to ensure a competent and effective workforce.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
  • Assist with internal and external quality audits, including preparing necessary documentation, guiding auditors, and addressing any findings to maintain compliance with industry standards and certifications.
  • Develop and manage the quality control budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support quality initiatives and objectives
  • Analyze quality control data, using statistical process control tools, to identify trends, areas for improvement, and the effectiveness of quality interventions.
  • Implement and oversee environmental and safety standards in the quality control process to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Must be able to build and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of plant operations and staff and with the various Vishay divisions, plants, and corporate departments.
  • Excellent motivational, interpersonal and communication skills are required.

What you will bring along:

  • Three to five years’ experience in Quality Control or Engineering preferred
  • One to three years’ experience in Continuous Improvement preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, or a related field preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Requires excellent writing skills
  • Preferred knowledge of industry standards quality specifications including ISO/TS16949, AS9000, MIL-Std-790.
  • Must be able to read and understand internal Vishay and customer documents and drawings.
  • Requires computer skills, including experience with WORD, EXCEL, POWEREPOINT, and ADOBE ACROBAT PROFESSIONAL
  • Must have an understanding of statistical process control techniques used in manufacturing.
  • Must be capable of becoming a certified Internal Auditor for ISO/TS16949
