SALARY RANGE: $18.52 - $31.80/hour DOQ

STATUS: Full Time Benefitted

DEPARTMENT: Public Works

JOB SUMMARY: Assists with general functions conducted in the public right of way, parks, open spaces, and city property. These duties may include, but are not limited to, road maintenance, storm drain inspection and cleaning, signage installation and maintenance, streetlight electronics, fleet maintenance, traffic control, weed abatement, graffiti removal, road cut inspection, blue staking and related projects, landscape maintenance and snow removal.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or GED.

WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.

Desired Experience : Preference will be given to those with a CDL. Some knowledge of basic tools, materials and equipment used in construction related activities. standard practices, methods, materials, and tools necessary for asphalt, concrete construction maintenance and repair. safety standards related to street construction, maintenance, materials, and methods of constructing roads and drain systems. safe driving and operation principles, practices of equipment and vehicles. basic record keeping principles. interpersonal communication skills, work harmoniously in a team environment.
