POSITION TITLE: IT Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Coordinator
REMOTE WORK COMMENTS: Should be in Phoenix vicinity and may have to come on site if there is a major operation outage.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project. Manager, IT Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Coordinator provides subject matter expertise in support of IT disaster recovery and Company's business continuity. The Project Manager will collaborate with individuals across IT and Business to develop disaster recovery documents and implement strategies to enhance IT Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Program. The IT Disaster Recovery Coordinator directs IT disaster response/crisis management activities in compliance with the IT emergency plan and helps provide and coordinate disaster preparedness training with respect to the organization's information technologies, helping ensure business continuity.
PROJECT INFORMATION:
Operationalize the DR/BC Program across the organization. Enhance the Disaster Recovery framework and improve operations resiliency. Conduct DR exercises, identify gaps and opportunity to mitigate risks. Collaborate with IT, Business and Security to enhance technology and support DR/BC Program Governance.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Manager will assist with:
•Establish and maintain the overall plans for executing all DR procedures and understand their interdependencies.
•Establish and maintain detailed DR communications and command and control plans through a change management process.
•Work with the IT technical staff to ensure that disaster recovery solutions are adequate, in place, maintained, and tested as part of the regular operational life cycle.
•Develop and understand all testing necessary for a successful DR execution.
•Assist with DR tabletop and failover exercises - planning and testing.
•Schedule and lead all DR exercises.
•Enhance the Disaster Recovery framework and improve resiliency within Tier 0 - 4 applications.
•Coordinate and facilitate interviews with application owners and infrastructure SMEs to identify and document the recovery processes that in the DR runbooks.
•Conduct reviews with stakeholders and create DR Runbooks
•Assess current state risks, impacts and gaps by application to mitigate in target state design to meet RTO/RPO goals.
•Work with application SME's and Stakeholders to optimize configurations to improve recovery and resiliency (i.e. Zerto implementation, scripting, etc.) and work with the RSI PM to manage the backlog of improvement opportunities.
•Work with the existing Program Manager to manage and track the backlog of optimization and automation initiatives for DR by application.
•Assist to set up process and controls to keep the DR process evergreen.
•Explore, review, and recommend tools to evolve operational resiliency.
•Track and report on the status of progress, priorities, issues and risks to stakeholders and the Oversight Committee
•Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management.
•Liaison for auditing and examination of disaster recovery processes.
•Work with Business Continuity management to ensure that the disaster recovery (crisis management) and business continuity plans drive disaster recovery (DR) strategy and procedures
•All other Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery duties as assigned by the *** Manager of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•3 -5 Years of hands-on disaster recovery operations experience
•5 - 7 Years of IT operations implementing and supporting core infrastructure, web and middleware solutions in a data center or infrastructure environment
•DBA or Data analysis experience
•Understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures and mainframe architectures is needed,
•Must know elementary IT network principles.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Professional certification CBCP, or similar
•PMP desired
•Knowledge of crisis communication solutions
•Require excellent oral and written communication skills to convey plans, exercises, and activities.
•Must be able to interact with technical, non-technical, and management staff.
•Familiarity with business continuity program life cycle plans and deliverables (e.g., risk assessments, continuity planning, third party risk assessment) is essential.
•Familiarity with Business Continuity Management tool (i.e. ServiceNow BCM, Fusion, Risk Connect, Everbridge).
