Ramos Parkade Maintenance is a family owned and operated parkade maintenance and drainage company that specializes in providing vacuum truck services, hydro jetting, and pressure washing in the Lower Mainland. We are a small but fast-growing organization serving property managers, strata councils, parkades, plumbers, residential and commercial buildings.

We are looking for a full time, motivated, hands-on worker, who is capable of learning-by-doing, to fulfill this critical role in our operations. This is an entry level position with routine and frequent manual and labour tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to: moving hoses, loading and unloading materials, vacuum truck operating, tank cleaning, and disposing. Responsibilities Include (but is not limited to):

• Successfully completing scheduled jobs on the company’s busy schedule.
• Loading hoses, tools and other equipment required for assigned job onto truck.
• Communicating with our clients while onsite.
• Serving as a face for the organization.
• Safely operate the truck while on the road and on job sites.
• Providing updates and reporting back to the office/team while on and off the job site.
• Operating the vacuum truck, power washer, camera line, hydro jetter and various machinery.
• Handling small machinery i.e: drain augers, drain cleaning cables, power drain cleaners, pressure washers.
• Using tools ranging from common hand tools to power tools.
• Performing routine preventative maintenance to company assets to ensure machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently.
• Following safety protocols.
• Most jobs are scheduled during regular business hours but on occasion could fall outside of these times.

 

Day to Day

• Arrive at the work yard for 8 am.
• Complete daily maintenance checklist on vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for the scheduled job.
• Drive to job site.
• Perform services as per the job worksheet.
• Drive back from the job site to the work yard.
• Properly dispose of load when applicable.
• Perform maintenance on vehicles and filling out job forms.

Experience and Requirements

• Clean driving record.
• Ability to comfortably and confidently drive a standard shift vehicle.
• Ability to drive a truck or van with a small trailer (preferred)
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with various equipment (preferably pressure washer, vacuum truck, auger, hand tools)
• 1 year of work experience
• High school diploma
• Must have the ability to legally work in Canada

Skills Required

• A valid driver’s license and a driver’s abstract.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Eager and willingness to learn
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to work efficiently within a group and on their own with little supervision.
• Be accurate and provide flawless execution of all work completed.
• Able to prioritize tasks and follow specific instructions.
