Job Description:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer with deep expertise in DAX, the ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business analytics dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires a professional who is passionate about data, has a strong analytical mindset, and possesses advanced proficiency in DAX.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Design Dashboards: Create interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business decision-making processes.
DAX Functions: Utilize advanced DAX functions to create complex measures, calculated columns, and tables to meet business requirements.
Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. This includes importing, transforming, and merging data.
Performance Tuning: Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.
Data Modeling: Develop and maintain robust data models, ensuring data integrity and relevance.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and deliver actionable insights.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, promoting self-service BI.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, reports, and dashboards.
Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices, implementing improvements as necessary.
Project Management: Lead and manage Power BI projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Master s degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of [5-7] years of experience in BI development, with at least [3-5] years specifically in Power BI.
Proven experience in using DAX for complex calculations and data analysis.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
Advanced knowledge of DAX functions and capabilities.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Understanding of data visualization best practices.
Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
