Sodexo is seeking a Pediatric Dietitian Nutritionist I-HC at West Florida Hospital located on the Gulf Coast of Florida. This 500 bed acute care hospital is affiliated with HCA, the Nation’s leading provider of healthcare with pediatrics, med surgical, oncology, behavior health and intensive and critical care units. 

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the dietitian will be primarily responsible for providing nutrition care to patients in a wide variety of settings with focused coverage on our Pediatrics including PICU, Surgical Ortho Oter units include Progressive Care Unit, Surgical floor, Labor & Delivery and Reproductive Care Units.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide nutritional care primarily pediatrics & PICU and other inpatient units as needed
• Pediatric experience is not required
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounds
• Serve on designated committees as needed
• Work every 3 rd -4th weekend providing hospital wide coverage;
• Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;
• Educate healthcare team member, including physicians and nurses
• Prior Sodexo and/or HCA experience is helpful;

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
