Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Incumbent supports professional and technical respiratory personnel by accomplishing a variety of duties and procedures which are directly related to patient care. Primary duties include setting up life support equipment, reviewing and adjusting respiratory care charges, performing EKG's, supporting respiratory staff, ordering respiratory supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe unit environment. Will assist with stocking unit supplies, operating hospital equipment as directed, performing routine clerical tasks, and assisting with other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: - Must have working knowledge of PC Applications and specifically MS Excel
- Familiarity with various pieces of clinical equipment and supplies
- BLS certification upon hire
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience as a hospital assistant
- Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology
- Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting.
- Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac rhythms, basic 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac hemodynamics.
- Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
