Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of patients? DaVita is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Tech to join our Rosebud Dialysis Center in Rosebud, SD. Whether you're starting your career in healthcare or looking to advance, we will provide the training you need!
Position Details
Here’s what you can expect:
- Operational Hours: MWF 5:30 AM - 4:30 PM / TTHS 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- Shifts: Typically 10-12 hours, 3-4 days a week.
- Training Hours: Expect to work 32-40 hours per week during training.
- Flexibility: Must be available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Paid Training: Enjoy a comprehensive training program that combines classroom learning with hands-on experience.
- Certification Reimbursement: We cover the costs for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license.
- Career Advancement: Clear paths to higher levels of responsibility and compensation as a PCT II or PCT III.
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have a passion for helping others in need.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Are comfortable working with blood and needles.
- Can mix acid or bicarb safely.
- Are physically and mentally prepared for long shifts (some over 12 hours).
- Are willing to train and work across multiple clinics as needed.
- Preferred Experience: Previous healthcare experience such as BONENT Certified, CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy certification.
Your Role
As a Patient Care Tech, you will:
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Spend your day delivering safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment to up to 4 patients at a time.
- Monitor Patients: Keep a close eye on patients before, during, and after treatment, including recording vital stats and setting up hemodialysis machines.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Help us enhance processes for our patients and teammates.
- Build Relationships: Connect with patients suffering from end-stage renal disease and educate them on kidney dialysis.
- Collaborate with a Team: Work alongside a diverse group of clinicians under the supervision of an RN.
- Flexible Schedule: Shifts may start as early as 4:30 AM, with details shared during the interview.
