Position Description The Parts Clerk is responsible for managing storeroom inventory, issuing parts and supporting work orders in B2W Maintain. This position will develop and maintain local processes and procedures, as well as adhere to company guidance, to ensure ongoing integrity of the inventory control systems.
Responsibilities: - Receive incoming parts, ensuring accuracy to purchase order, inspect order for damage, update software system and stock in storeroom.
- Adheres to and actively promotes all safety rules and maintains good housekeeping (5S).
- Issue purchase order numbers and invoice approval as needed
- Assure all credits have been received for returned parts and materials
- Maintain good working relationship with suppliers, vendors and maintenance technicians.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through the completion of effective inventory control techniques including Internal Audits, Cycle Counts, and Physical Inventory to maintain necessary levels of inventory and accuracy counts.
- Assist in the development of localized policies and procedures as related to the control of inventory.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled audits of production kits to ensure count integrity.
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and participate in or coordinate yearly physical inventories.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements Skills: - Be able to communicate with all positions of the workforce
- Exhibits good problem-solving skills; is able to identify problems, solicit other's opinions and offer valid solutions. Interprets and applies policies, procedures and guidelines
- Exhibit honesty and trustworthiness
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient use of computer software, such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, with a professional appearance and strong work ethic
Education/Experience: - High School Diploma
- 2-5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment, or in a related field
- Experience with a parts inventory computer systems is preferred
- Valid driver's license, with ability to obtain Chauffeur
This position is full-time with benefits. The schedule of the position is Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work and overtime dependent on project schedules.
