We are seeking an energetic and experienced Part-Time Teacher to join our team! We provide an After School STEM Enrichment program throughout - Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties . As a Part-Time Teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, through the implementation of our proprietary comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching k-8 students!

Responsibilities: 

• Implement our proprietary curriculum that meets school standards
• Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills
• Prepare in advance any necessary learning materials
• Take attendance and account for all students whereabouts
• Guide students through positive feedback
• Document students’ learning progress
• Collaborate with other teachers to share best practices and create a healthy and safe learning environment
• Report and document behavioral incidents

Qualifications : 

• No teaching certification required
• Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
