To Healthy Feet Podiatry is seeking a warm, welcoming, and organized medical receptionist to join our team in our NYC offices! In this part-time role (Saturdays mandatory), you'll be the first point of contact for patients and must ensure a positive and efficient experience. 

The ideal candidate will deliver a friendly, professional, and qualified first impression to all patients and visitors. This person has excellent communication and customer service skills. He/she/they have a basic understanding of medical, administrative, and clerical procedures/systems and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Create a Positive First Impression: Greet patients with a warm smile, making them feel welcomed and comfortable.
• Patient Care Focus: Answer phones kindly and efficiently, explain podiatry services and benefits, and schedule appointments.
• Administrative Duties: Prepare patient charts, fax records, obtain medical records, and assist with obtaining prior authorizations. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the podiatrist and other staff members.

The Ideal Candidate:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree is preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience in a medical setting
• Proficient in Google / Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent Communication Skills: You have a clear, friendly, professional phone presence. You can build rapport with patients and answer questions confidently.
• Positive and Welcoming: You have a genuine smile and a natural ability to put patients at ease.
• Organized and Efficient: You can manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
