Minimum 1+ years orientation and mobility specialist experience required.

Enterprise is partneringwith a great school district in Brownsville, Texas is currently seeking a dedicated Orientation and Mobility Therapist. In this role, you will provide essential services to individuals with visual impairments, helping them develop skills for safe and independent mobility.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine clients' orientation and mobility needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client goals.
• Provide instruction and training in mobility techniques, adaptive equipment, and environmental awareness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and educators to ensure prehensive care and support for clients.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate clients, families, and caregivers on strategies to promote independence and safety.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orientation and Mobility or a related field.
• Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (S) from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP).
• Previous experience working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired preferred.
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
