Job Description

Wyyerd is seeking an Open Trench Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the construction of the FTTH GPON plant by managing the end to end process for joint trench installation. This will include but not limited to building and maintaining relationships with builders/developers, coordinating internal teams in contributing to the process. As well as research and discovery of new opportunities in joint utility trench across the Phoenix Valley.

The Open Trench Coordinator is a key part of the Wyyerd Fiber deployment strategy. This position will be the face of Wyyerd Fiber to the Developers, Builders, and Municipalities across the state. The Project Coordinator will ultimately be responsible for the quality and timeliness of the fiber deployment in the greenfield space. This position will ensure every existing and new customer is educated on the process of our deployment as well as the product deployed to the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Build new relationships with developers and builders to convey Wyyerd’s value proposition
  • Acts as the single point of contact during the life of each project
  • Ensure communications between Wyyerd and Developer/builders are seamless.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Planning, Engineering, and Construction team
  • Discover MDU/Enterprise opportunities and collaborate Sales, Planning, and Engineering for deployment
  • Identify and provide opportunities to provide IN/ON services to new and existing builders.
  • Identify new Open trench projects and prioritize them with Planning, Engineering and Construction teams
  • Risk management of project impacts while providing alternative solutions and awareness to leadership.
  • Meet with municipalities development teams to forecast future opportunities
  • Coordinate and facilitate planning meetings
  • Define project objectives and establish clear expectations to meet deliverables and timelines
  • Ensure scope, roles/responsibilities and schedule are reiterated to stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Accountable for timely completion and delivery of service
  • Provide KPi’s on projects for homes passed and service delivery times
  • Travel to/through communities to understand current scope and identify any future projects
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly readouts of project progress.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and communicative with colleagues and leaders
  • Ability to understand different scopes of the utility trench environment
  • Ability to read and understand CAD layout drawings
  • Experience in deploying FTTP/OSP in joint trench scenarios
  • Ability to work under pressure in and ever changing environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a vehicle in the instance of meeting onsite with builders/developers.
  • Have strong computer skills and able to work tasking in a virtual environment
  • Basic knowledge of Google and Microsoft software programs
  • Familiar with GIS systems.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Familiar with KPIs/Performance metrics
  • 4 years in project management experience
  • 2 years in telecommunications or other technical environment
