Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction and support to K-12 students with Deaf/Hard of Hearing needs across various school settings.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with specialists and families.
• Implement effective teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
• Conduct assessments and track student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional methods.
• Facilitate a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
• Offer professional guidance and resources to school staff regarding best practices for supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
• Participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with educational approaches and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Certification or endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
• Proven experience working with students with hearing impairments in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
