Job Description
Job Title: Sr Electrical Engineer
Work Environment Responsible for performing engineering assignments of a complex nature requiring application of engineering skills. Assignments involve planning and organizing projects and the application of highly specialized knowledge in carrying out the work. Provides technical support to lower-level professionals. Typically requires 8 plus years of experience and a B.S. in Engineering. Professional Engineering certification strongly preferred.
Responsibilities - Perform engineering tasks as assigned, applying engineering principles.
- Design modifications to the plant, including new systems, system improvements, or replacement of obsolete equipment.
- Ensure work accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, following proper configuration management.
- Utilize standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes to prepare plans and specifications.
- Coach/mentor jr. engineers in applying engineering principles in nuclear power and the standard design process.
Requirements - Design Change Package experience
- B.S. in Engineering
- Electrical Engineering system design for Nuclear Plants
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering systems design for nuclear power plants.
- Familiarity/experience applying the standard design change process for nuclear power plants.
- Ability to mentor and guide jr. engineers as needed.
- This role involves critical contributions to the safe and efficient operation of the nuclear plant, making it an exciting opportunity for experienced electrical engineers.
