Job Requirements Qualifications - 12 months experience driving a Box Truck within the last 3 years
- Valid Driver's License, with a current DOT medical card.
- Class A CDL or Class B License is optional
- 21 years of age or older
- Pass a road test
- Acceptable driving record per policy
- Acceptable responses to previous Employment Verifications
- Pass a background check, and pre-employment tests
- Safe driving record and continuous dedication to upholding high safety standards
Responsibilities - Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (Box Truck)
- Safely Operate a Lift Gate
- Load and Unload freight at Distribution Centers and at assigned route locations
- Maintain all DOT requireddocumentation
- Adhere to DOT Rules and Regulations
- Able to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs. for touch freight positions
- Value your safety, always comply with safety/operating policies and procedures
- Work well independently, with customers, and in a team setting
- Value a positive and respectful work environment
- Understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps our company viable
- Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
- Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
- Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Deliver excellent customer service
- Able to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs. for touch freight positions
- Operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
- Safely get in and out of the cab on your own
- Execute on-time pickup and deliveries
- Adhere to safety and quality standards on and off the road
- Interact in a positive and a professional manner with general public while delivering products to locations
