Job Description

Salary: $45,198 - 125,340 per year Requirements:

  • A Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Over 5 years of successful experience in enterprise network administration, with a solid record in managing complex environments.
  • Significant expertise in SD-WAN technologies, from the design phase to deployment and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, LACP, NAT, VPNs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with various physical network solutions, including copper, fiber, radio, cellular, and satellite technologies.
  • Practical experience with advanced security technologies such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, WAF, and SASE, along with knowledge of zero-trust principles.
  • Experience in designing and optimizing wireless networks, ensuring best practices for coverage and reliability.
  • Understanding of load balancing concepts and traffic management strategies to support high-availability applications.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, along with strong problem-solving abilities under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Experience with technology brands like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, Cisco, and Aruba.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts across providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of automation and scripting for network management using tools like Python and Ansible.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE.
  • Experience with network virtualization technologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the core and site network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and SD-WAN systems, ensuring their optimal performance and high availability.
  • Design, implement, and enhance network topologies to adapt to the organizations evolving needs and growth.
  • Diagnose and resolve intricate network issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the configuration, upkeep, and improvement of wireless networks, conducting site surveys for enhanced coverage and reliability.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, including Next-Generation Firewall features, to protect against emerging cybersecurity threats.
  • Implement and uphold a Zero-Trust Infrastructure, including Zero Trust Network Access, to strengthen our security posture.
  • Administer secure remote access technologies, ensuring dependable connectivity for remote teams.
  • Manage load balancers and traffic policies to enhance application performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
  • Establish monitoring, patch management, and audit processes for proactive maintenance, compliance, and persistent improvement.
  • Keep precise documentation of network configurations, standards, and procedures, contributing to policy development and process enhancements.

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 months, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
