MEP Project Manager

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated MEP Project Manager to join our dynamic team and support the successful execution of our ongoing multi-billion dollar airport expansion program. This is an incredible opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the future infrastructure of one of the world's busiest and most important airports.

The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of various construction projects within the DEN Expansion Program. This includes managing projects from design conception through commissioning, ensuring all MEP systems are delivered on time, within budget, and meet DEN's high standards for safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency. The role requires strong technical expertise in MEP systems and a proven ability to manage complex projects in an active, mission-critical airport environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and manage the MEP scope for assigned capital projects, including terminals, concourses, baggage systems, and utility infrastructure upgrades.
• Review and provide critical feedback on MEP design documents (plans, specifications, calculations) at all stages, ensuring compliance with DEN standards, building codes, and program requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison for all MEP-related issues, coordinating efforts between design teams, contractors, airport operations, and other stakeholders. Ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural, structural, and IT elements.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, review payment applications, and track schedules specific to the MEP scope of work. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee MEP construction activities, conduct regular site inspections, and verify the quality of work, equipment installations, and adherence to contract documents.
• Manage the MEP commissioning process, witness system start-ups and testing, and ensure comprehensive documentation, training, and smooth transition to DEN operations and maintenance teams.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, plumbing, and specialized airport systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• 7 years of progressive experience in MEP project management, construction management, or design for large, complex capital programs, preferably in an airport, transportation, industrial, or critical infrastructure environment.
• Deep knowledge of building codes, construction means and methods, and the principles of design, installation, and commissioning of major MEP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prior experience working on projects within an active airport or similarly sensitive operational environment.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project), Bluebeam, and BIM/Revit.
