Ultimate Staffing is offering a Director of Meetings & Events position at a national membership-based organization. The role leads planning and execution for the annual conference and year-round event portfolio, overseeing event strategy, logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting and on-site management while partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Lead planning and logistics for conferences, meetings, and special events from concept through completion. Oversee registration, housing, speaker coordination, scheduling, and on-site operations. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts. Develop and monitor event budgets, track expenses, and handle post‑event reconciliation. Support event marketing needs and collaborate with internal teams on materials, agendas, and attendee communications. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members involved in event delivery. Prepare post‑event reports and recommend improvements for future programs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience planning and managing meetings or conferences within an association, nonprofit, or similar environment. Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with event management tools is a plus. Ability to travel for events as needed.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds during event setup. Work Environment Hybrid schedule; travel required for major events.
