Position Highlights:

Job Summary

The medical laboratory technician is accountable for performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties. Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two year college program or technical school required.
• Six months to one year of related experience or training preferred.

Certification

• Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required within 12 months of hire.

Work Schedule

• Varied Shifts: 6:30am-3:00pm, 8:30am-5:00pm; 72 hours every 2 weeks
  • Every 5 th weekend
  • Every 5 th holiday
  • Weekday/Weekend call schedule

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
