JOB SUMMARY

The Med Lab Scientist 1 performs and monitors a full range of laboratory testing and research. Assumes responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and required equipment maintenance with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\n
\n\t - Performs laboratory tests in compliance with department procedures and all pertinent regulatory requirements.
\n\t - Follows quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
\n\t - Performs instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
\n\t - Accurately reports test results.
\n\t - Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
\n\t - Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
\n\t - Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
\n\t - Demonstrates and educates laboratory methods and technical skills to others.
