Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) at Batish Family Medicine located in Leland, NC. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including assisting with patient care, managing medical records, understanding and using medical terminology, performing tasks in a medical office setting, preparing equipment and assisting providers with medical treatments, exams and medical procedures. The role requires close interaction with patients and medical staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Experience assisting in the assessment of patient needs and health plan by taking vital signs, blood pressure, and patient history
- Phlebotomy, performing lab tests and administering prescribed medications
- Process patient referrals, forms, scheduling appointments, and patient communication
- Experience in a Medical Office setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is required
- Experience in Family Medicine is a plus
